Check me out in my gym wear (and so active!) - thank you AA. So have officially been to the gym twice now and am kinda loving it. This was quite a big step for me. I've always been incredibly intimidated by the gym - futuristic machines / lycra / flexing muscles etc. Turning 30 has made me assess lots of the parts of my life and it's actually a really positive experience so far. Health was one area and while there is little evidence of fat on me i'm pretty sure my lifestyle of working and partying can't be great. So i'm going to get fit. Not marathon fit or start developing abs but just to give myself more energy and also to do something exclusively for me. I believe i may have broken out in a small sweat following my second trip to the gym so clearly need to work on bit more of that - it's supposed to be a bit hard isn't it? Comedy moment during induction on running machine "...um you're going backwards" "oh shit am i. what about now?". Amazing that i can't seem to tell if i'm going backwards or not. I'm sticking to the rowing machines for now.
