Note the bare feet. In every girls seasonal wardrobe you do get to that point where you want to rip your tights off and feel the fresh air on your little toes. This was that day and it felt so liberating (until later in the day when the heavens opened). I'm also really keen to see how my silk Sandro pants work through the warmer months. I'm already excited about teaming them with a cream silk cropped vest and simple thin black sandals in the height of summer. The green lightweight parka is one of my wardrobe staples. Purchased 3 or 4 years ago from Top Shop it was my version of an amazingly similar Sportmax one I had lusted after for ages. I had a photo of the SM one pinned to my desk and used it as inspiration to motivate myself to work harder, earn more type thing. Then I came across this one and it actually was love at first sight regardless of the £60 price tag (that was just an added bonus!)

15th March 2010 - bonjour
Tired of pounding the streets from my house to London Bridge in high heels I decided that flat booties might be needed. Seems as if the whole of London is being dug up at the moment and dodging pot holes and broken paving slabs is not easy in 4inch heels. Picked these gorgeous slip on ones from Top Shop at the weekend and am totally in love with them already. Teamed with skinny jeans and a red Breton top (I thought a nice quirky change from the blue that is everywhere at the moment - myself included). I needed a necklace so cautiously went for a tatty divine moustache. I had a thing (like most girls) a few years back for tashes and a party was not complete without one but I've come over all grown up now and wondered if it might be a bit too silly. Silly me - really I need to CTFO!
11th March 2010 - Berry Nice
You look 'berry nice' darling said Bunny. I retorted I'm not a 'damson in distress' and so it went on. How can you not be happy when wearing an array of berry hues. America Apparel generally on display with jigsaw beads and toy watch. I've just had a hair cut too which was a positive experience. Discussed going ginger/red at some point. Tempted so watch this space.
7th March 2010 - Dezzign Museum
It was the last day of the Dieter Rams of Braun fame exhibition at the Design Museum so despite lack of sleep we headed off early. It was a beautiful sunny day and we stopped off for breakfast at Tower Bridge. I love that you are allowed to take photos in the DM so long as no flash. It just allows you to engage on a different level. Here I am on the steps leading up to the main exhibit and the yellow wall matched the print on my Jonathan Saunders for Top Shop dress perfect. The TS collaborations are just fantastic - you can dip into a designer at fraction of price but limited stock means they still feel a bit exclusive. A big fashion regret of mine was a beautiful JS strapless dress with panels that made your waist look minute in the sale at Selfridges which I let slip away. You know when something fits you perfectly and makes you feel a million dollars. For some reason though I felt I would never have the opportunity to wear it. Now I realise I would have - c'est la vie!
6th March 2010 - razzle dazzle
Despite the shaky results of this photos and me looking like I might fall asleep this was pre heading out. We'd had a long day on a shoot for Bunny's portfolio so were knackered but still determined to go out (in the event it ended up being a night of disappointment but hey ho). I had to base my outfit around earlier purchase of giant Aztec perspex earrings. Sparkly trousers were recently found in Bristol (the vintage stores there are soooo much cheaper than London I was like a kid in a candy store) and likewise with boots found in a Manchester Chazza for few pounds. Trusty tuxedo jacket that never fails me. The silver boots are so comfy despite impressions. I had a guy come up to me and admire the trousers, asking where he might get some from - very sweet!
1st March 2010 - Snake Drawers
27th Feb 2010 - Land Girl
Off to screening of Banksy's film 'Exit Through the Gift Shop' at a pop up cinema by Waterloo. It was a Saturday night and I was looking forward to having something a bit different to clubbing or restaurant (or staying in). Weather still cold and my cashmere overcoat has been a Winter saver. Last year I had my heart set on a MaxMara cashmere coat but did not have the budget to satisfy. I found a gorgeous vintage Aquascutum for Harrods one on ebay that I snapped up at fraction of cost. Then a week later I found this coat in Greenwich for £10 - bargain! It's a bit too big but keeps me so cosy that I wear it more than any other coat at the moment. I also like the way it matches my trust LV bag. I feel a bit city girl in it but underneath the contrast is usually quite apparent. Peg trousers from Reiss and shoes Melissa for Vivienne Westwood. Working neutrals as nice change from black and even rolled out my headscarf that is usually saved for summer - clearly desperate for Winter to end.

24th Feb 2010 - not quite chanel
Channeling Chanel style with simple black dress and white collar. Concerns over this outfit are whether I'm now getting a bit old to wear little doll dresses. I never thought I would start to question myself like that but while I still feel the same I sort of realise that with responsibility of age and especially in work you wonder how people might perceive you with your outfit. I'm a Senior Producer at an event, media and comms agency. It's a creative job which means I can express myself through clothes and try not to limit my choice in outfits but I definitely see myself being a bit more careful.
22nd Feb 2010 - Elle Style Awards
I had a minor panic over what to wear but was really happy with my choice in the end. Had been planning to wear House of Holland dress but I was having a 'fat day' and just wanted to be comfy without sacrificing 'style' naturally. This Chloe jumpsuit has become a favourite recently and again goes to prove that just because you don't wear something in the first 6months or even year does not mean you won't ever grow to love it. I knew this piece was nice but it's just taken couple of years to get into groove of wearing it. The sequined jacket was impulse buy from Mango purchased that day as a just in case to go with several potential options. Sparkly Tabio socks and low heeled vintage style office shoes completed the look. The other accessory was my gorgeous boy Bunny.......better than a designer handbag for sure
but better than this gorgeous boy?? Now that's a tricky one.........
18th Feb 2010 - denim on denim
Here I am working the denim on denim look with my shearling trimmed boots (gonna be very big AW10 apparently). I have this giant bag of clothes that needs to go to the charity shop but as we don't drive it's not going anywhere fast. So it sits in my room day after day and every now and again I keep rescuing things from it such as the Levis denim shirt I'm wearing. So it's kind of good it's not gone but also not really helping me streamline my wardrobe. Actually might just given up on the streamlining effort. No one ever died from having too many clothes (she says hopefully)
14th Feb 2010 - Urban Sherlock Holmes
I'd had a lovely romantic morning and then had to run some errands in the afternoon. I was papped coming back in the house in this rather peculiar outfit. The coat is from Top Shop and is at least 2 sizes too big for me but was last one in stock so I bought it as I love it. Because of the design I don't think it matters and it's a great coat to throw on over layers - so much room. White Jeans are so bad they are good and it's Sunday so naturally I can team with trainers and hoody for that laid back look that is not really my usual style. I don't think I do dressed down very well but I'm working on it.
13th Feb 2010 - pre Valentine Celebration
7th Feb 2010 - High School Prom
My friend Aurora's 30th Birthday. I remember arriving - don't remember leaving. Very silly, very funny night. I had nothing special to wear and knew this crowd (fashion types) would go all out so almost did not bother dress up. Then remebered this 80's blue dress which would do. Added a corsage and I was good to go. I love the colour of this dress actually but note that since it's last outing it's a bit too big for me and does slide down - not great look especially when had one too many glasses of bubbly and become oblivious
